ZSL SmartPrise Cloud Manager’s Advanced Features refer to the value additional features provided to cloud users to increase their revenues with efficiency. These sophisticated features offer more significance to your usage of the cloud at an inexpensive package. Some of our advanced features are as follows:
Multi Accounts Switching
A facility to switch between multiple accounts in one click and assist in easy management and monitoring of all setup accounts/environments.
Multi Clouds Switching
Similar to switching between multiple accounts, our console also provides an enhanced facility to switch between multiple clouds in one click. This eases the process for the user.
Increase Boot Volume
An exclusive feature available and applicable only for windows instances. A minimum boot volume is set by default to the respective windows instances and can be increased depending on the users’ needs.
Metering and Billing
A facility of generating detailed usage reports and graphical representations. These usage reports, in a tabular format, provide the users with a daily summary and particulars of their cloud resource usage and management.
Cloud Cost Management
One of the major features of SCM is Cloud Cost Management. Our console assists users to Identify, Define, Manage, and Optimise the cloud usages and the costs involved. It lets its users to know the initial configuration, resource utilisation & scaling criteria i.e. disk space usage to exceed 80%, capital costs & operational costs related to infrastructure and functional clusters, active & inactive instances.
-
Recognises orphan EBS Volumes
-
Provides Spot Instances
Scheduling
Provides a web based UI for running periodic tasks on the cloud. The user can configure a task to run once at a specific time or specify a recurring time interval. An instance could also be launched as a scheduled task. Through scheduling, an EBS backed instance could be started and/or stopped and yet an elastic IP can be assigned.
Configuration Management
It provides the necessary configuration management in a cloud computing environment, i.e. installation of the Operating System (OS) like Windows, Linux, UNIX, etc., and installation of the software required to run VMs in a cloud.
IP Address Management
-
It has the facility to reserve elastic IP address to specific instances ID.
-
An ability to enable a port for a range of IP addresses for a specific security group automatically.
Directly RDP, VNZ or SSH into SCM
Our console provides access to EC2 instances from any remote location by connecting through the web. Web based protocols such as RDP, VNC or SSH Sessions can be run to have a direct connection to EC2 instances. This gives the users’ the flexibility to work, install, and configure servers from anywhere, at any time.
Provisioning
SCM provides the cloud users with the appropriate number of virtual machines (VMs) and allocates the essential resources to support applications and services to be deployed in the cloud.
Terminate Volumes
When an instance is terminated, the volumes of the respective instance would get terminated. Whereas, the volumes attached manually to the instances would still remain active. Now, our console provides an enhanced User Interface to users with a confirmation prompt for terminating the manually attached volumes. This conserves time and money for users.
Cloud Hosting
It has eased out the process of individual installation of applications with its prime features being Centralized Storage, Memory, Processors, and Bandwidth Allocation and its benefit being ‘Pay-as-you-go’ that is ‘Opex vs. Capex’.
Back ups
An enhanced feature of mapping the disk drive in the local system directly to the cloud. Back-ups and snapshots are made easily accessible to all S3 buckets, files and directories. Working on the S3 files and buckets is so effortless, just like working in your local drive.
Automation
An ability to deploy, update, repair and generate reports of VMs and servers. It automates the application infrastructure using pre-defined specification, commands and procedures.
SmartPrise Cloud Sync
SmartPrise Cloud Sync orchestrates two different serves on the cloud. It checks for updates in any node in a load balanced cluster and synchronizes it with the other set of nodes in another cluster using the AMI. The Sync can work one-way and two-way for single or multiple nodes.
Scripting Support
It provides users with a unique customization option by means of Scripting Support. If any user wants to add any minor yet effective feature, SCM’s scripting support will help them create these customizations without the need of an actual developer involved. This makes the cloud management console user friendly and accessible.
Monitoring
A well defined monitoring system that has control and understandability of all the instances operating over the cloud.
Orchestration
It provides a programmed arrangement and synchronization between provisioning, configuration management, automation and monitoring.
